For current second-year students who participate, the program consists of four preparatory workshops held during the fall semester, followed by an intensive weeklong training session held immediately before the start of the spring semester.

Program
- Preparatory Workshops: Students participate in four Friday afternoon classes and workshops hosted at Emory Law, Atlanta area law firms and public law offices. Working in small groups, participants receive individualized instruction and feedback from experienced trial lawyers and judges.
- Intensive January Session: Emory Law hosts approximately 80 nationally recognized trial lawyers, judges, and trial advocacy teachers who bring diverse perspectives and teaching styles to help students develop as advocates. With an approximate 6:1 student-to-instructor ratio, the seven-day program provides immersive training in trial techniques, culminating in each student conducting both a bench trial and a jury trial.
